DESCRIPTION
Very iconic non-academic American limner portrait. Naive but meticulous rendering of details:  tortoise comb, lace collar, gold jewelry, and ribbon sash. Exceptional Period lemon gold frame w/ old brass rosette corner blocks.  Useful size-- smaller than most portraits but not tiny.Pretty distinctive work. Long ski slope nose asn w/ Isaac Sheffield-- but this isn't his work.  This ought be able to be identifiable. I looked thru numerous references and came up empty. Someone might know or maybe suspect. Suggestions appreciated.

CONDITION
Original unlined canvas. No signs of patches or repairs. Non-keyed stretcher and canvas is a bit ruffled. Otherwise pretty nice. Please examine the photos carefully. The photos tell the story.
