White Tin Glaze Delft Porringer Bleeder Bowl c. 17th cent.

$0.00

SIZE
7 1/4” including handles

DESCRIPTION
Pure white glaze, possibly Southwark circa 1680. Sometimes called porringers but thought to have been used as bleeder bowl. These are exceptionally rare objects and I’ve never seen one that wasn’t broken and repaired (as this one is). This piece was ex collection of the late Marian Atten who was focused entirely on Pilgrim Period objects. Marian had things rarely seen even in books.

CONDITION
Considerable restoration of cracks and breaks. See Photos.
