Two White Tin Glaze Delft Porringer Bleeder Bowl c. 17th cent.

$0.00

SIZE
bowls are 6” diameter; 9” and 9 1/2” with handles

DESCRIPTION
Pure white glaze, possibly Southwark circa 1680. Sometimes called porringers but more likely used as bleeder bowl. These are exceptionally rare objects and I’ve never seen one that wasn’t broken and repaired (as these are). These were ex personal collection of dealer Marian Atten who focused almost entirely on Pilgrim Period objects. Marian had things rarely seen even in books.

CONDITION
Considerable restoration of cracks and breaks. See Photos.
