American Historic Blue Staffordshire Wash Set c. 1825

$0.00

SIZE
bowl is 10 3/4 diameter; pitcher is 7 inches tall

DESCRIPTION
Classic American historic scene is Lafayette at Franklin's Tomb. Basin is Signed "Wood" (Enoch). Dates 1824-30-- a commemorative to Lafayette's US visit in 1824.

Wash set (basin and pitcher) is an extremely rare form in the early dark blue American historic pottery. I have never seen aset in the Franklin tomb design. This one is rarer still for diminutive size. Personal Collection.

CONDITION
Note chip on the underside of the basin rim. Aside from that I can find no other condition issues.
