DESCRIPTION
Following Miller and Hunter’s 2001 Chipstone article the underglaze Chinese House pattern marks the earliest English pearlware with archaeological examples dating as early as 1775. Huge opulent example makes a splashy centerpiece for a large table. From an eminent Ohio estate collection.

CONDITION
Some glaze wear or attrition just on the back-side edge. Otherwise the business side is near-mint.
